What is the policy regarding Academic Probation and Dismissal?
Students with a cumulative GPA below 2.8 are on academic probation and must earn a minimum of 3.0 each grading period until their GPA is raised to at least 2.8. Failure to meet this requirement may result in academic dismissal. Stricter standards may apply in individual programs. A student may be considered for dismissal if they fail to make timely progress towards their degree or receive a D, F, or U in a required course. For more information, please consult with your program's specific handbook, the University Catalog or The Graduate School Handbook.
